A grilled sandwich with a delicious omelette with chives and crispy bacon is an idea for a delicious breakfast or party snack. And extremely filling! You and your loved ones will certainly like it. Holidays have their own rules!
What do we eat…
If you are going to grill from the very morning, I give you a really simple and interesting proposal for a tasty breakfast. In my case, the grilled sandwich was prepared on half of a smaller baguette, but if you want you can use the whole one (only then I recommend increasing the amount of eggs in the omelette). Bacon or bacon will go great here.
How to prepare…
Ingredients:
1/2 small baguette
3 long slices of bacon
4 eggs
50 ml milk
1 level tablespoon plain flour
a larger pinch of salt and pepper
1 tsp chopped chives
a large handful of lamb’s lettuce or arugula
ketchup, BBQ sauce or garlic sauce
Mix the eggs (4 pcs) for a while with flour (1 level tablespoon), milk (50 ml) and a pinch of salt or pepper. Also add chopped chives (1 teaspoon) and mix. To prepare the omelette, you will need a baking/grilling dish. I used the Gourmet BBQ System cast iron hob by Weber. First, place the dish with the omelette on the grill. Grill covered. After about 2-3 minutes, place the baguette halves on the grill, as well as a few slices of bacon (2-3 long slices).
We control our grill all the time so that the ingredients do not burn too much. The length of frying will depend on how hot the grill is – in my case, after about 5 minutes, the omelette was nicely set, and the baguette and bacon were crispy. Take everything off the grill. Put a tablespoon of ketchup or garlic sauce on the baguette (alternatively, you can try to prepare garlic butter). Roll the omelette as you like – it can be in half, in half again or you can roll it like a croquette. Place it on a baguette.
Then place a larger handful of lamb’s lettuce or arugula, slices of grilled bacon. Cover with the top of the baguette. Stick a skewer stick in the middle to make it easier to eat the sandwich. The grilled sandwich is ready. Eat it warm, right after preparing it. Enjoy your meal!
